Microsoft shows us again, that their QS isn’t the best.
After I’ve installed the newest Windows updates on my WSUS server, I had no more access to it.
What now?
I found the correct input in a Microsoft Forum after some researches, which was usefull in my case:
- start an elevated CMD
- run the command wsusutil.exe postinstall /servicing in the folder %ProgramFiles%\Update Services\Tools
- add the subfeature HTTP Activation from .NET Framework 4.5 Feature within the Server Manager
- restart the WSUS service
After this steps, my WSUS was alive.
